Over the past few years we have done many journeys back and forth to various clinics but very seldom have we encountered bad weather.
Yesterday was quite manageable but totally foul!

Photography was likely to be a bust but I always take the camera and I don’t give up easily.

There is always something to photograph!

A pair of red-tailed hawks.
One flew off as I fiddled with the focus.

Wild parsnip is invasive and to be avoided because it can cause skin burns and blisters.
But I think it makes an interesting picture.

Especially when decorated!

Water drops make everything look pretty
We’ve noticed many fields lying fallow this year and wonder if it is due to problems resulting from policies of the new government.

Why plant if you have no labour force to help with the harvest or if you won’t be able to sell your crop?
As if dealing with changing weather didn’t make farming a hard enough occupation.

At the end of a country lane we came upon this beautiful flowering tree.
.
Every year I have to look up its name again.
Japanese tree lilac.
I should have recognised the scent.
.
It was a very damp day.
But not a total washout.
Nothing is as wonderfully beautiful as nature when taking pictures, whatever the weather, and your photography, Carolyn, is the proof if ever needed. All the plants, trees, pathways, and wildlife are stunning! Thank you!

Indeed, it’s still possible to make beautiful photos in the rain, even if it’s less pleasant.
Beauty is always there, we just have to look for it!

The ‘decorated’ parsnip is beautiful – as is the Japanese Lilac. Stunning.
