Ring cycle

20th February 2024

The Ring Cycle came to mind yesterday as I photographed our snow patterns.

Today a question came up in a quiz about the Ring Cycle. It’s not something I think about a lot.

Our electrical devices listen to us but in this case I think it was just coincidence, which I don’t actually believe in.

For the most part, anyway.

.

Here we demonstrate the value of a southern aspect!

It offers nice sunny windows for my furry friends although today they have all abandoned me except for Blackie.

.

Interesting….it’s like when children are quiet, you begin to suspect they are up to something…

Maybe Grant is issuing catnip downstairs.

.

Sunny days are causing snow melt.

Various green things are poking their heads out once more, hopefully:

“Can we come out again?”

How many false starts can weeds endure?

.

Recent nights have been frigid and this morning I stopped to view the re-frozen snow which in addition had become frosted.

Being careful to avoid sliding down the hill, I trod in the newly topped-up seed tray, but I’m sure the birds tidied that up in short order.

In the meantime, it added to the display.

.

.

A piglet head? Grant rolled his eyes. Earlier, I had noticed a Ku Klux Klan figure on the man’s cell phone screen, or something equally ghastly!

This he agreed with.

.

.

Bird seed art.

.

Everywhere I looked there was a work of art I was loath to step on.

.

Soon, it would melt away…

.

…but that is different.

.

What Natures creates, she may change.

.

and we should appreciate.

  1. You captured the ice beautifully.
Nothing but rain and more rain here. I haven’t been outside for 2 days. They say it might be dry and cold tomorrow. If so, I will go for a long walk. It will be strange to do that without Ollie, but I have to get out and keep moving. x
