Yesterday I scrolled back and forth through my archive looking for the above photo without finding it. Searching for something else today, I promptly came upon it. This happens to me all the time and I can’t decide if it’s the Universe winding me up mischievously, or just that I am hopelessly incompetent.
These past few days I have been struggling, so I suspect the latter, at least in this case. At first, I thought it was just sleep deprivation, resulting from 0330 wake-up calls from Lily, but a couple of new symptoms caused me to send a message to my primary care physician who had me get some tests, which suggest something is not right, though not what or why. Nothing to be hysterical about.
In the meantime, it turns out that I am not impoverished enough to qualify for a grant to get the eyedrops I need, so instead – eyelid scrubbing, tomorrow.
.

After weeks of blessedly physician-free days, three appointments this week, with the possibility of more to follow, but looking on the bright side, these journeys are often interesting!
Anyway, I have yet to clear the first hurdle – getting the appointments.
The only reason I mention it is that I may stop posting every day for a while because my brain is befuddled and I am having attacks of somnolence, which are not conducive to blogging!
.

Searching the archives also produced the above image out of thin air. I remember taking the picture, at the beginning of June, but it must have been during one of those mysterious periods where the iPhone was out of sync with my desktop. I’ve no idea how this happens.
Currently, any photo I take with the iPhone automatically downloads onto my PC, whereas in the past I had to force the process. Suddenly, one day, I discovered that the pictures were already in my archive which pleased me no end.
A few months later, I was once again obliged to fiddle about in order to achieve download, even though as far as I could tell nothing had changed and I suspect that is when I took the above photo.
At present I am happily enjoying auto-transfer, but who knows how long it will last?
.

At the medical office the other day, cheerful Yellow Day-lilies.
.

My sister-in-law detested lilies, but I think she can’t ever have seen this sort.
.

When I went back for another test, more blooms were out.
.

In a way, these lilies remind me of my mother’s hibiscus.
She would have called this Double-orange.
.
Sorry to hear about the medical test results. I am glad it doesn’t sound like anything too serious. Take a break if you need one, we will all still be here when you want to return.
Take care, and best wishes, Pete. x
Thank you Pete. I think the worst is over.
Just wanted to wish you good luck with the medical issues. Love your blog and pictures!
Gladys
Thank you!
I love nature’s strings of jewels in the re-emerged picture! Hope all the tests come cheaply and with no nasty results! 🤗💛
Thank you, Carolyn, for the beautiful photos! I do hope you will feel better soon, but don’t rush, as we will always be here!
Joanna
Thanks Joanna. Coming good.
Good, Carolyn!

Wishing you a speedy resolution of all issues. All the best to you.
Thank you…I’m getting there!
The lilies are beautiful – I like seeing them in the garden (outside). But not inside the house, because they’re a big trigger for my hay fever. I hope you get your doctor’s appointments sorted out and that you feel better soon. I admire you for posting every day, so I won’t blame you at all if you don’t get to your blog every day … your health comes first.
