Sum total of my contribution to supermarket shopping.
Going along for the ride,
…and waiting in the car.
.
Occasionally, I dart in quickly to the pharmacy.

.

Or grab a carton of milk and fight with auto-checkout.

.
Once home, I put our purchases away.

I’m not totally selfish.

.

This was a sunny day of strong contrasts.
Our home vista has mostly taken on it’s Winter look, but one doesn’t have to go far to enjoy late late Fall.
.
Greenwich was bathed in light.

.

Something is going on by the river.

For one thing, there used to be a structure in front of the white building!
.
It’s frustrating that there’s nowhere to park nearby.

.

It would be nice to view the wildfowl and reflections of the Fall colours.

But a sunny day would suffice.
.

Greenwich is/was still amazingly leafy.

.

.

.

Is it just me, or do some trees actually look more Spring-like than Fall-like?
.

.

Happily, the election signs are gone.

.
Returning from Greenwich, the woods seemed on fire.

.

Hot spots?

.
Here’s another of those river shots, this one captured on November 10th which was overcast.
There is a very small window of opportunity for these as there are obstacles and although I always urge the driver to slow down, my entreaty is inevitably met with:
“Someone on my tail!”

.

On that day, the 10th, we deviated and I took rather a lot of slightly different pictures.
Afterwards, I saw a special meaning in them.
Which I’ll get around to.
Sadly the election signs keep returning!
If only we could toss aside the candidate as easily as the signs!
It’s interesting that Autumn looks so different in two places that are so close to each other, isn’t it? Orange and yellow – for me, these are the most beautiful colours in this season. And look at you … you get the different coloured trees in just one outing! Lovely 🍂.
We also have a lot of trees in ful leaf around here, and today is blindingly sunny. Over the last few years, the leaves have waited until December to fall completely, and I suspect it will be the same in 2023.
Best wishes, Pete.
