A rainy day was supposed to see me start to catch up but I suppose the battle of the passwords had to be fought. Sorting out the Cloud password caused an upset on my iPhone and getting that resolved put the tablet in a snit….
But, as I said, there is a good feature here, not that I have had much time to use it yet.
Taking a few minutes to look at the back log of photographs, I discovered immediately that I had no means to download the camera because the plug is different, however Grant was able to produce an SD card reader which slotted in.
Then I had to work out what was where because of course the layout and the descriptions are different, with a few additions: Clicking on Handwriting, Documents and Illustrations automatically displays such items without my having had to file them myself.
Identity documents cleverly separates official documents. Impressive.

It was when I got around to editing that I really hated the new mouse and it will take time to get used to working so much from the keyboard.
Apart from the mouse however, the editing tools have improved quite a bit. It is now possible to remove ugly signposts and pesky sideview mirrors! As these are two of my pet peeves, this is quite a bonus.
.

In principle I don’t approve of doctoring photographs, but I see nothing wrong with removing unsightly objects from otherwise beautiful scenery.
The photo feature has a couple of other tools that I have yet to experiment with. Reframing and Extending may be fun to play with, but I doubt I shall use them.

This day, we went again to Schenectady, a route we seem to have taken almost daily, what with computers, bicycles and medical appointments.
It is an interesting time of year, when changes are sudden and startling.
.

A storm grumbled around all day throwing down occasional rain drops and blowing leaves about in gusty winds.

Just as we reached home, the Sun broke through briefly.

From the bottom of our hill, looking across the cornfield.
.

As we drove on up to the house, the whole field lit up.
.

The storm hung around and next morning there was a different sort of spectacle.

The weather here has been strange today. 20C/68F but not seeming that warm. I still have shorts on, but I get the feeling I will be getting out of those into something warmer soon. Your computer seems to have some good features, but lacks others. My PC has a built-in card reader slot that is very useful, but any photo-alteration (which I don’t do) would have to be done on Adobe Photoshop, which was bought for me as a present when I retired in 2012. So far, I have only ever used it to reduce the image size of photos to make them easier to send in emails.
Best wishes, Pete.
