Herewith…a new attempt to post photos through Flickr…
By the time we started back from Clifton Park on Thursday, the storm was moving out.
So, as we turned this way and that, I watched the sky.
Storm fronts are very photogenic.
Full of energy and drama.
It’s why we rejoice in these open skies.
Weather in these parts can “turn on a dime”.
(A dime being physically the smallest coin in US currency, turns fast)
And often in a matter of miles….
One moment low cloud clung to the hills.
Mere minutes later dazzling sunlight pierced the canopy beneath which we drove.
Everything is very lush this year, perhaps a result of all those wet weeks!
But for the still damp road, you’d never know a storm had come through.
As we coasted home, we saw the vestiges receding over the horizon.
.

July 4th was very quiet.
Blessedly there were almost no fireworks.
.
As always, the hill across the valley was bathed in light.

What I love after a storm is the scent of ozone in the air and the smell of earth. All fresh and uplifting, also if there are any puddles to walk in, as I was not allowed to do so when I was a child. I love your sky and all the landscapes. Thank you!

The larger photos worked well on Flickr. I clicked on them and enlarged them over there. We have similarly ‘threatening weather’ today, but doe to get back to 30C or thereabouts during next week.
Best wishes, Pete.
Flickr working well for me, I must try it out!
Wow, you ended your post with a beautiful photo! I love the light in that one. And I’m amazed to see how quickly the sky changes – but that’s what makes it so wonderful to watch.
The last photo is lovely and vibrant – a nice homecoming.
I’ve never been on Flickr and find the social media platforms I’m on are enough! They’re so time-consuming.
