Dazzled

Sometimes predictions are accurate!

Years ago I remember one of our staff arriving late for work with the excuse that he’d had to shovel 6 inches of partly cloudy off his driveway.

But this storm brought us the 3 to 5 we were promised.

.

Thus, we set off for Clifton Park at 0745 and had a stress-free drive all the way on clear and mostly empty roads.

.

With a large chunk of the day taken up by the appointment, I’ll just give you an update on the ice structure.

Because I’m sure you’ve been anxious!

(Not)

.

Rebuilding on the shattered remains…

.

Even wearing dark glasses, in bright sunlight the snow is quite dazzling and the temperature is a brisk 16F/-9C, so I’ll admit this is somewhat challenging!

As temperatures continue to drop significantly, I’m not sure my stamina will hold up, but in the meantime…

.

A modest but colourful start.

Tomorrow: Grant’s latest summons.

  1. I think, with temperatures of -9C I would have much rather stayed indoors 😱. I’m definitely curious to read what happens with your ice sculptures – thanks for keeping us posted (and all the lovely photos)!
