Could anyone really object to this sort of snow?
A small amount fell overnight, insufficient to affect roads but enough to decorate the landscape before dissolving in the bright sunshine that followed.
.
Although, as we finished breakfast a heavy bank of cloud moved in…

.

Causing me to abandon dish washing.
.
Grant supplied a photograph from the top corner of the property.

.

It seemed the sky was closing in.
.
Who would win the battle?

.

The patch of blue was diminishing.
.
It was nice while it lasted.

.

Time to finish the washing up.
.
After which, a trip downtown…

.

A very quiet Monday morning in Cambridge.
.
Then we were off to Greenwich.
Ascending the hill it seemed we might disappear into the clouds.

.

But not quite.
.
Another favourite tree.
I don’t know what it is but I like its shape.

.

Greenwich was hanging on to its patch of blue!
.
Surprising, given the strong wind that was blowing snow about.

.

It was my kind of day.
.
Taking another alternate route…

.

Those invasive vines grow everywhere!
.

.

.
Feeling slightly under par, I wasn’t really in the mood for going out, but I didn’t want to miss the snowscapes.

.

.
It may be months before we get more snow!

.

Rolling hills fold together
.
…then flatten out.

.

Cresting one of those hills, we saw that some people were still enjoying a bright day.
.
Back in Cambridge, not so much!

.

However, not long after we got our turn.
In bright afternoon sunlight the snow disappeared almost entirely.
Which proves how suddenly and completely things can change!
Thank you, Carolyn, for your happy musing about the last snow, the sky, and your liking for wandering around taking pictures!
Joanna
Wait for April!
And remember: “Cast ne’er a clout till May be out.”
Looking through last year’s photos I was reminded about the hail storm we had in June.
Beautiful!
Your house looks picturesque in the snow – it’s almost like the beginning of Winter! I’m glad you went along on the road trip, because how else will we be able to see how beautiful the landscape looks? And you’re right with how quickly the weather changed. Love that last photo!
The snow around your house looks lovely. I wouldn’t mind that here so much if they cleared the local roads as well as yours are cleared. Sadly, ours are usually left in a very dangerous condition for driving.
Best wishes, Pete.
