Resistance

The post script I planned for yesterday’s offering will have to wait while I back track, or I shall never catch up. This time of year always keeps me busy. Despite its lack of customary splendour, Fall has yet offered much enjoyment and the fact that I have been more mobile means we’ve been out a great deal, so I am having trouble keeping pace!

Thick and threatening clouds darkened our sky on the 22nd and strong gusts of wind brought bushel loads of leaves down from the trees, blowing them around savagely.

.

Seriously altering the landscape.

In mere moments it seemed.

.

But, as they say in these parts, if you don’t like the weather, wait five minutes.

.

And many trees refused to give up their foliage.

.

Resistance!

.

After a very misty start on the 24th, we set off for Bennington in search of more hardware for Grant’s latest fix-it job.

Patchy sunlight was already breaking through…

.

…lighting up the resisters behind a screen of those that surrendered early.

.

As we waited at the endless bridge project though, the Sun retreated.

.

However the white bark of birches at the foot of a hill made a pretty picture.

.

Already badly back-logged, I wasn’t terribly keen on collecting more images yet I can’t seem to stop myself..

.

As if I needed another challenge, today I find myself unable to delete photos from my WP media library. A new prompt came up and clearly I should have not have clicked confirm, but the other option wasn’t working either. Why can they not leave things as they were?

Don’t they know I often change my mind? Doesn’t everyone at least sometimes?

Down toward Bennington, the hills were afire.

And when we got there, I found another picture or two I couldn’t ignore.

I have no resistance!
