Evening clouds were a welcome sight, but brought no rain.

The long range forecast offers a slight chance of rain next weekend.
Meanwhile we continue to dry up.
Sometimes, when visiting my parents in Barbados, back in the 80’s, I spent an hour or so at the beach, after which I returned home feeling desiccated.
Which is sort of how I feel now, viewing the countryside.
It is psychological, of course. For now at least, our well has not run dry though there is always the chance it could happen.

These past few days I’ve enjoyed filtered light.
Such images are less dramatic, but quite pleasing, to me at least.

Leafy tunnels. I miss them when the leaves come down, yet I also love the sight of naked trees and the first hint of Spring when its time comes.

What I especially appreciate are those shafts of light that catch particular surfaces.
In these dark times, it is helpful to see that the light still gets in.

I can definitely see the signs of Autumn in your photos … just as I can currently observe the signs of Spring here where we live (I hope to share some photos soon). It’s true, seasons change – sometimes not as clearly as previous ones – but it does happen … all in its own time I believe.

We are watching the Tropics with some hope. Often a storm comes up the coast and breaks the drought. It is, of course, a balancing act. We need a couple of days of steady rain, but no flooding. It used to be the norm that we got just that. No more.
