It didn’t bring more than a gusty breeze our way, but reportedly, a storm was more significant in nearby Vermont last night.
Perhaps it was what caused us a brief power outage.
Drawn outside by the light, as I often am in the evening, I enjoyed the sound as well:
.
Teddy gave Grant a hard look this morning before retreating into the woods.
Not wanting to encourage the bear, I had to stop putting peanuts under the tree, yet I hate to see it so disappointed.

.

As that front came through last night, the temperature plunged blessedly.
.
Our stock of carrots being depleted, we had to go shopping today, since I can still help out the groundhogs.
Bored with the journey to Greenwich, we went instead to Bennington which is no further.

.

It was a very quiet morning, with a noughts and crosses sky.
.

The sort of sky that appeals to me.

It has a serene sort of quality.

It feels peaceful, to me anyway.

Cool, sunny mornings like this are to be savoured.

For the gift that they are.
I could hear cicadas/grasshoppers on the video. I know why you have to discourage the bear, but I still felt sad for him when I saw his face.
Best wishes, Pete.
Thank you, Carolyn, for the beautiful landscapes, the study of the sky, but I feel sad for the hungry bear.

We’ve been happy to see a couple of cooler days!
Your photos are really beautiful – it’s wonderful to see how you always notice beauty on your road trips … I love the feathery skies.
What a great video of the waves of grasses, blowing in the breeze!
The video offers peaceful sounds of nature – love it.
Your cloud photo is my favourite in this post. Aren’t bears in your area aggressive? It reminds me of the movie “The Revenant”.
I think bears like this one are only aggressive when they have cubs or possibly when starving which admittedly might be often sadly.
I know nothing about bears. Thanks for enlightening me!
