Zoomer the chipmunk can be seen regularly now, stuffing its little face, but after a brief sortie on March 10th, our resident groundhog appears to have decided it needed more sleep, Grant’s offering of a carrot having failed to stimulate it.
Can’t say I blame the creature!
A hole in the ground holds appeal these days.

Sophia and Muffin often refuse food these days.
At any given time, there may be a dozen bowls of food lying around, as well as various types of kibble.

.

Sometimes sprinkling Forti Flora on the food encourages a few licks, but even when they can be persuaded to eat, the food doesn’t seem to stick.
It’s an unhappy thought, but realistically it’s hard to believe they will survive the year.

The only worry I still entertain is for the cats, especially one so young.
The responsible thing is to have a plan, but so far I’ve failed to come up with one that covers all eventualities.
.
“Just have to think harder, won’t you?”
“And don’t be calling me middle-aged!”

No matter their age, all these cats are adorable.
How dare you discuss their ages in public? Shame on you!
Thank you, Carolyn, for the wonderfully beautiful photographic portraits of all your cats! I like the photos of the sleepy wildlife too!

Such sound advice.
Sorry to hear about Sophia and Muffin.
Your last photo is beautiful, but I forgot this fur baby’s name…you have so many!
