Where are we?

.

A fat letter from Medicare this morning did nothing to improve my day.

You know when it’s more than one page what it says.

.

All of this paperwork to provide their reason for rejecting a claim and to ensure you are so buried in bullshit you won’t file an appeal.

Medicare will approve a treatment but not the anesthetic required to administer it.

.

“Let me help you with that!”

Little Man is our greatest source of comfort. Cuddling this sweet boy is better than any anxiety medication.

All animals are a help, but Little Man actually adores being fussed over which makes it especially effective.

.

The medicare letter came on the heels of having recently filled a prescription that had been costing $5.61 and is now $40.51. Not that this was a surprise, since this is what happened last time he was in office.

Luckily, I have abandoned other medications but insulin-dependent diabetics for example, now have a serious problem.

Yet some still claim to be pleased with a government that has already proved itself to be totally CORRUPT.

.

The same mail brought an appeal for help for wounded veterans, enclosing patriotic socks as an enticement.

Patriotic socks may be the very last thing I want right now and the fact that wounded veterans depend on charity is OUTRAGEOUS.

.

“If you can’t say something nice, don’t say anything?”

It’s just not the time for sitting around hoping things will get better, or pretending you don’t see injustice and corruption everywhere.

To be mute is to accept.

.

Here are some facts. All of this was done in plain sight, so no-one can say this is false.

Painful to watch, but you should.

  1. I am glad, Carolyn, that I don’t live in your country as the politics are getting too chaotic! Thank you for the photos which are always beautiful!

  2. So much for privatised healthcare. Everyone in the UK who complains about the NHS should be reading blog posts like these. We both know this is only the start, and it is going to get much worse.
    Best wishes, Pete.
