Having read until very late the night before, I was still asleep when Grant came crashing up the stairs:
“It’s alright, don’t get up!”
…he called out, followed by:
“There are some great contrails.”
.
Don’t get up?
You’ve seen contrail pictures here before, a time or two.
The rising Sun added a special touch yesterday.

.

Flights were going in all directions.

.
Contrails morph…

.

..and drift

.
Which angle would be better?

.

Washing breakfast dishes is never a chore for me, what with all the live entertainment!
But yesterday was especially grand.
.
It was actually a cloudless day, until aviation got so constructive.
We went out briefly…

.

and got more points of view

.
Whichever way you looked… contrails.

.

Can anyone read a message here?

.
I’ll go for Happy Christmas.

I live not far from Norwich Airport, (20 miles) and closer to the military base at RAF Marham. (12 Miles) But although we often hear (and see) the aircraft, contrails are rare. Perhaps because they are flying quite low over Beetley?
Best wishes, Pete.
Thank you, Carolyn, for today’s spectacular photos of the sky!
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, to you, Grant, and all your furry family!
Joanna
Wow, the early morning contrails look like fire streaks in the sky — beautiful! I think you’re right … it definitely reads “Happy Christmas” 🙂
