It’s finally been really cold and snowy and beautiful.
Blue jays and starlings hoping for breakfast.
“We shoulda gone south!”
Promise of more snow
and freezing temperatures
Though the sun broke through to light the hills
Sometimes just the very top, creating interesting contrasts.
How deceptively warm it looked!
Darkness brought a deep chill
and a Wolf Moon
Stark and cold and solitary

This morning it was -23 C but very still and apart from my fingers that nearly perished, I felt great!
