What’s not to love?

House finches.

Pretty little birds that somehow find their way through the crowd of bigger, tougher birds to feast on the nyjer seed which is their diet.

How I enjoy seeing these gentle, delicate creatures flying free. I grew up with budgies that were allowed the liberty of the house. They were bred in captivity and could not have survived had they been released. They seemed quite happy with their lot.

But birds belong in the air…

…or water…

Cardinals are stunning…

..and quite polite about sharing.

Doves hold a special place in my heart because of what they represent.

There has never been a bird I could not love.

  1. Stunning pictures (again) 💌.
Yes, I do like cardinals … and doves … and pheasants … and guinea fowls! Birds in general are the representation of free and happy – especially when they are not caged in and can fly freely, don’t you think?
