It’s a funny sort of day. Heavily overcast, intermittently wet, just a bit chilly.
We were intending to take a drive, to enjoy more of the Fall foliage, but we put that thought on hold.
Meanwhile I’m getting pleasure out of the very simple things.
Like this little white flower that keeps on going.
An uncomplicated little white bloom with a pert yellow centre. Yet it pleases me to contemplate.
Like a smile on a strangers face.
Then there’s this. I know I’ve shown it before. Milkweed pods. How lovely is their silky fluff, that carries seeds aloft?
And well, I couldn’t help but see a cat!
And that’s that. Simple things on a slightly melancholy day.
